Sharon had a vision: Build a studio with like-minded people who believe movement can be fun. Create an environment for fitness that was outside the norm of a gym. We pride ourselves on our whole-body approach and one-of-a-kind classes that are specifically designed to keep you engaged for the long haul. (Most of our members come here for years)! Coming to the studio is the highlight of our day.

We know Movement - Our Method
The Pilates method was invented in the early part of the 20th century by German athlete Joseph Pilates, who designed a series of mat exercises to help balance the body, improve motion, strengthen, and promote mental and physical harmony. He originally named his technique the art of controlology, control being one of the most important aspects of Pilates. The exercises Pilates developed require intense concentration and centered on a strong abdomen, deep stretching, and focused breathing.
Pilates has proven itself for more than 80 years as an effective and safe method of exercise, when taught and applied correctly. It has been the workout of choice for dancers, athletes and fitness enthusiasts for decades. In recent years the word Pilates worked itself into the mainstream, the direct result of an intellectual property lawsuit in which a US federal court ruled the term “Pilates” generic and free for unrestricted use. Search engine results are now in the millions as numerous organizations have entered the market to capitalize on the latest fitness trend and individuals across the globe look to benefit from Joe’s unique approach to health and fitness. As a result, consumers now face extensive and confliction information about what Pilates is, how it works, and what credentials they should seek in an instructor.
Classical Pilates remains true to the vision of its founder and creator, Joseph Pilates, who believed that health and fitness could best be achieved by a comprehensive and integrative approach, one that aligns the body, sharpens the mind, and promotes an overall sense of well-being. To uphold that vision, the classical Pilates method honors and follows the specific sequences and exercise repertoires of Joseph Pilates, which have endured and been proven effective for nearly a century.
A workout based on the proper alignment of the body and precise execution of the exercise; the Pilates method is an appropriate exercise discipline for everyone at any stage of physical fitness. The results are efficiency and ease in movement from a stronger, integrated body.
